All I have to say about black bean hummus is that it has been on heavy rotation at our house lately because we can’t. stop. eating. it.
It’s simple, tastes awesome, is sooo much less expensive than store-bought black bean hummus, and is good for you! What’s not to love about all of that goodness?
Oh, and in case you’re wondering: yes, it tastes like black beans and you’re gonna love it.
Black Bean Hummus
gluten free, vegan friendly
- 2 cans black beans, drained
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 clove fresh garlic
- Add all ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. Add extra salt and pepper to taste.
- Tip: If your hummus is too thick, continue adding a small amount of olive oil at a time until you reach a good consistency.
